Congo DR lifts second CHAN trophy after
subduing Mali 3-0
Congo Democratic Republic has won its second
trophy of the African Nations Championship.
The national team beat Mali in the finals in
Rwanda today, 3-0, with a brace by Elia Meschak
in the 29th and 62nd minute and a third goal by
Jonathan Bolingi in the 73rd minute.
Congo DR also won the maiden edition in 2009,
which was held in Ivory Coast.
Ivory Coast had earlier won the bronze after
beating Guinea 2-1.
